In Regina Saskatchewan during the course of the week water levels have exceeded and Saskatchewan Lakes towards the south of the province have made people resort to traveling in canoes. Manitoba as well has now had to shut down their main road route to the United States due to the flooding. The people of Saskatchewan and Manitoba are hoping for better weather conditions that may control the water levels once more. People are forced to sandbag and try and save possessions to the best of their ability. I personally would be devastated if there was ever a flood in Surrey. I couldn’t imagine how it would feel to have my house filling with water and having my house destroyed. This issue affects Canadians because we have to help our fellow citizens in these desperate times. All the provinces should recognize other provinces need our help and I believe Canada and the media are favouring the side of these provinces who are suffering from these floods. They need help and should receive the help they deserve.
